About the construction: This set was created out of laminated colored porcelain. They were both thrown on an electric wheel, and carved. After a first firing, a beautiful glaze that brings out the beauty of the colors was added. The pieces were fired a second time to produce a set of sturdy, food safe, oven safe, and microwave safe pottery. the exterior was sanded and sealed with liquid quartz.
