This stoneware bottle with a pourer is useful for both prep and serving, The stoneware vessel cuts a striking figure on your countertop and goes right to the table when it's mealtime. High-fired stoneware is exceptionally strong. Fill this beautiful bottle with your favorite vinegar or oil.

How It Was Made

I threw this bottle from three colored porcelain clays. I altered the bottle for easy gripping and carved through the layers of clay to expose the inner patterns. After a first firing, I sanded the bottle to make it smooth to the touch. I then glazed the bottle with a reactive blue glaze.

How it is made. Black clay is thrown on a wheel. It is fired twice and glazed in a food safe clear glaze.
