Handmade Agateware Ceramic Table Lamp | Unique Nerikomi Studio Pottery Art Piece for Home Decor

Each lamp is individually crafted in my Oregon pottery studio, using three clay colors that are carefully layered before being thrown on the pottery wheel. After shaping the lamp base, I trim and carve through the clay surface to reveal the beautiful marbled patterns hidden beneath. This traditional Agateware pottery technique creates flowing natural designs that run throughout the clay, making every lamp completely unique.

Following the firing process, I hand-sand the surface with diamond abrasives to achieve an exceptionally smooth finish that highlights the intricate patterns and enhances the clay's tactile quality. The result is a stunning piece of artisan ceramic lighting that adds warmth and sophistication to living rooms, bedrooms, offices, entryways, and reading nooks.

How It Was Made:
Each lamp begins with three colors of layered clay, combined and thrown into the lamp base form on the pottery wheel. After trimming, I carefully carve through the surface to reveal the hidden patterns created by the layered clay. Once fired, the piece is hand-sanded with diamond-grit abrasives to create a silky smooth finish that showcases the natural beauty of the Agateware design.
