Handcrafted from a dark stoneware clay with an interior of turquoise glaze, this bowl is sure to the highlight of your table setting. The bowl is perfect for side dishes or displaying on its own.
How it was made:
The bowl was thrown as a tall narrow bowl. I altered it by bisecting it and then rejoining the parts to create the oval shape. I then carved into the exterior of the bowl and attached a handle. After firing, I glazed the interior with a gloss turquoise glaze. It is meant to serve rolls, a small fruit salad, or appetizer. It would also be pretty as a display piece on an entry table.
